D – litter

Kiwi is a sweet and gentle girl, playful and full of life and constantly wags her tail. She is totally uncomplicated, adjusts to every situation and is the most kind little ridgie. She is very social and approachable, and loves everyone that would pet her. She likes to be very close to people, and would curl up in your lap at any time. She is quite a though little girl, there are very few things that would scare her or upset her. In everyday situations she is just a sweet, happy, confident and lovable little girl that make a big impression on everyone that meets here. Kiwi have no aggressions to other dogs, and come into every pack of dogs without any problems. I have never seen Kiwi afraid or anxious, just curious, happy and playful. She is a gentle female, very social and approachable, very high curiosity and not dominant. She have a highly developed interest for hunting and chasing, and would bay elks like an elk hound and would point out birds like a pointer. Kiwi have done a swedish mentalitytest at the age of 4 years (video), and she did a very good test. Kiwi showed that she have a wonderful balance between her mental traits and got the highest scores for consentration and nervcunstruction and have absolutely no remaining fear. These results are fantastic, and dog’s like Kiwi certainly does not grow on threes! She is just such a sweetheart and we love her dearly. Kiwi is Swedish and Norwegian Champion and has a gorgeous harmonic conformation. She is livernosed, and have a dark wheaten pigmentation. Kiwi have had two litters, our A-litter in 2011 and our B-litter in 2013. We are very satisfied with these pups, and they are all happy, friendly and with a good temper. Of those x-rayed, everyone is HD: A/A and ED: 0/0, and have a good health. 

The male we have choosen for Kiwi’s last litter is the wonderful male Maiden’s Kalahari Kandy, called Kandy. He come from good old english, swedish and norwegian lines, almost a treasure chest of genes. There are not many dogs in breeding today that carries these lines so close, and with Kandy I give my self a good position for future breeding and widen the gene pool of my lines. Kandy is a wonderful male, with many similarities in personality to Kiwi. I have had the pleasure of meeting Kandy a number of times during the years, and every time I have seen him, he have left a big impression on me. He is friendly and social towards people, but at the same time have that special dignity that are typical for a balanced rhodesian ridgeback. He is well behaved in all situations, without any stress or fear. He is a very calm dog, that does not stress unnecessary. He has a good body language, and goes well together with other dogs. He is very curious, and loves to do activities and field tracking, lure coursing hunting or exterior shows. He is a male of a moderate size, with a pleasant body structure and a wonderful expression and head. Kandy have a long list of titles from exterior shows, but these titles was not the reason I choose him for Kiwi. I do believe Kandy and Kiwi fulfill each other in so many ways, and my gut feeling tells me that this is the right choice for Kiwi. Kandy has a number of offspring around Europe and Scandinavia, and all breeders and owners I have spoken to is very satisfied with their pups, and they are healthy and with a wonderful temper. Kandy is HD: A/A and ED: 0/0 and offcourse don’t have any known diseases..
